Mercy Hospital’s School of Nursing was founded in 1979 by Rev. Dr. D. Mark Buntain and Rev. Dr. Huldah Buntain, just two years after the revered Mercy Hospital was inaugurated. Mercy's School of Nursing empower young female Kolkattan with a powerful profession. In line with the overall vision of the Mercy Healthcare Network, many of the under privileged students’ tuition fees are sponsored at times. With the years, it has been witnessed that these nursing courses has helped these women to live a respectful life in the society. Mercy Hospital's School of Nursing is just one part of the larger humanitarian initiative conceived by the Buntains’ that includes the Flagship Hospital in Kolkata and the Rural and the Regional Networks of local clinics throughout the region.
